• Understanding Hazardous Communications: Gain a basic understanding of hazardous communications, including the purpose of the Hazard Communication Standard (HCS).
• Identifying Hazardous Materials: Learn how to identify hazardous materials and chemicals commonly found in educational settings.
• Safety Data Sheets (SDS): Understand the importance and use of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for obtaining information about hazardous materials.
• Labeling and Warnings: Familiarize with the labeling requirements and warning symbols for hazardous materials to ensure safe handling and storage.
• Proper Handling and Storage: Learn best practices for the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Emergency Procedures: Understand the basic emergency procedures to follow in case of exposure or spills involving hazardous materials.
