Course description
Techniques to properly draw blood specimens and the proper handling of the specimen for clinical laboratory testing. Patient contact, medical ethics and legal problems will be discussed.
Prerequisites for this Course
1. Students must be 18 years of age2. Sign a release of liability3. Pass safety with 100%4. Must attend 80% of all hours in training and document completed 25 blood draws with 100% accuracy, 100% attendance in clinical.5. Optional: Clinical Medical Phlebotomy competency Test: Pass with 70%
