Course description
A Class B Commercial License Permit with Passenger and School Bus endorsements is required to enroll and take this course. PTC District Partner Schools Receive a Discount! If self-paying, call 580.310.2248 to pay by phone or stop by Building Entrance C at Pontotoc Technology Center to make your payment in person. Schools may provide a PO for invoicing. This Behind the Wheel (BTW) School Bus Driver training course will teach basic skills, safety and mastery of basic maneuvers to prepare to become a licensed Oklahoma School Bus Driver. You will be required to demonstrate proficiency in all of these skills to successfully complete BTW and prepare for the Service Oklahoma skills/license test. Minimum 2 -- Maximum 4 trainees per class. The listed price reflects in-district course cost. Students not living in a career tech district must pay twice the fee listed for this course. Out-of-district cities include (but are not limited to): Mill Creek, Ravia, Coleman, Milburn, Tishomingo, Kingston, Madill, and Turner. SEE PREREQUISITES.
Prerequisites for this Course
Prospective School Bus Drivers must obtain Class B CDL Permit with the proper P and S endorsements. Completion of Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) Theory Course (Preferred).
