A CMA is allowed to perform the administration of medications in the following health care settings under the general supervision of a licensed nurse: long-term care, developmentally disabled, residential care, assisted living, adult day care facilities, as well as the correctional facilities. This course is approved by the OSDH-Nurse Aide Registry and meets all requirements to be tested to become a CMA in Oklahoma. Class includes 40 hours of theory, lab and 16 hours of clinical.
Must have 6 months experience as a CNA, and be 18 years old.
