Statistically, teen drivers are involved in a high percentage of car accidents. Because of that, first time drivers should get all the practice they can before they get behind the wheel. State required driver education and training can help make you a safer driver and make the roads of Oklahoma safer for all. Oklahoma State Department of Education requires 30 hours of in-class curriculum and 6 hours of behind the wheel driver training. The driving schedule will differ from the 5-7pm in-class schedule. On days students are scheduled to drive, they will be in the vehicle with the instructor and another student. Each student completes 30 minutes of driving per session until the six (6) hours are achieved. The class end date will be adjusted once the class enrollment has been finalized.NOTE: Effective 11/1/2023, the Oklahoma State Department of Transportation requires new teen drivers obtaining their license to take the free ODOT Work Zone Safe online course.
