Course description
This program is offered in a FLEX format, which means you are able to work at your own pace! Students are allowed 30 classroom days to complete the 96-hour program once their enrollment is complete. Your course tuition covers your books and fees for the class, as well as one attempt at the state written and skills exam upon completion. This program is comprised of 80 classroom hours, and 16 clinicals hours. Solid navy blue scrubs and closed-toe shoes are required for class and clinicals. AHA BLS CPR is required for clinicals, and is included in your course tuition. To enroll in this program, please visit www.ktc.edu, then select the Poteau campus and scroll down to the Short-Term courses tab. From there, select the Long Term Care Nurse Aide enrollment application. Students will need to submit photo evidence of a valid driver's license or state ID and their social security card when they submit their enrollment documents. Students must also have a current (within one year or less) TB Skin Test with a negative result. You must be 16 years old to enroll in this program.
Prerequisites for this Course
Must be at least 16 years old to enroll. Must obtain CPR certification before being eligible to attend clinicals.
