This class will provide an overview of dyslexia, a learning disability that affects reading and writing. It will discuss the symptoms of dyslexia, as well as the challenges that people with dyslexia face. The video will also provide information on how to support people with dyslexia, including resources and accommodations. In this Dysgraphia Teaching Strategies Class, we will explore effective approaches to support individuals with dysgraphia in their writing skills. The class covers multisensory instruction, explicit teaching, and the use of assistive technology to enhance learning. Accommodations such as extra time, modified writing tools, and alternative assessments are discussed. Strategies for organization, planning, self-regulation, and self-advocacy are taught to empower students.
