Course description
Anyone with a desire to be a Phlebotomist in a health care setting my enroll. the possibilities for employment as a Phlebotomist are endless. Physicians, hospitals, insurance companies, clinics, and blood banks are possible areas where you might be employed. The course will cover safety and infection control, circulatory system and lymphatic system, venipunctures, deral puctures, and testing, equipment and skills, employability and job seeking skills. Students will complete 30 live blood draws to be eligible for the National Healthcareer certification test for Certified Phlebotomy Technician. *Plus cost of book and certification test.
Prerequisites for this Course
Students must have High School Diploma or GED.
