Course description

The FLEX Lab is designed with the self-directed student in mind. Flexible start times, extended hours, and online curriculum allow for a self-paced learning experience, which is ideal for many working adults. Although a qualified instructor is present, Flex students are expected to have a working knowledge of computers. The Medical Terminology program is intended to give the student a working knowledge of medical language. By relating terms to body systems, students identify proper use of words in a medical setting, acquiring word building skills by learning prefixes, suffixes, roots and abbreviations. Successful completion of medical terminology enhances students' ability to successfully secure employment or pursue advanced education in healthcare.
