Health - Long Term Care Nurse Aide - FLEX

Course description

This program is offered in a FLEX format, which means new students are being oriented into and starting the course each Monday. Students are allowed 30 classroom days to complete the 96-hour program once they begin training. Tuition covers all required books, fees, and supplies for the class, as well as one attempt at the state written and skills exam upon successful completion of the course. This program is comprised of 80 classroom hours, and 16 in house, lab clinicals hours. Students must also obtain CPR certification before being eligible to attend clinicals - the cost for CPR certification is $80 and is NOT included in your course tuition. To enroll in this program, you must set an enrollment appointment at the Center for Workforce Advancement located at 314 E. Main St. in Durant. Appointments are required. Students will need to bring a valid driver's license or state ID and their social security card when they submit their enrollment documents. Students must also have a current (within one year or less) TB Skin Test with a negative result.
